The UPFit. offers more than 30 fitness modalities for all tastes, works from Monday to Saturday and is open to the entire population. With gyms in the three poles of the U.Porto, this fitness center operates on a free basis and does not require loyalty.

CLOSING PERIOD 2025/2026

We inform our members that UPFit classes are closed on the following dates:
• National and regional holidays.
• Christmas Festivities – December 24, 2025.

• New Year’s Eve – December 31, 2025.
• Carnival – February 17, 2026.
• Easter Eve – April 04, 2026.

• Closing of Badminton and Swimming kids (except 4 weekly sessions) – June 28, 2026.
• End of the academic year – July 31, 2026 
• Summer closing period – August 08 to 23, 2026.

• The conditions may change and will be presented here, except: undetected typographical errors; requests for spaces for scientific work or curricular classes at the Faculty of Sports; occasional sporting events; unforeseen anomalies in equipment or installations; restrictions issued by the DGS or national authorities; weather effects.

The schedules of the UPFit Program are conditioned on the following dates:

• UPFit opening phases:

1st phase – September 03rd to 15th

2nd phase – September 16th to 28th

3rd phase – September 29 (full opening)

 Christmas Celebration (All activities and facilities close at 20:00 pm) – December 19, 2025
• Christmas and New Year period – 26 to 30 December 2025
• Carnival Eve – February 16, 2026.
• Pascoela (activities that take place until 14 pm closed) – April 00, 06.
• Porto Academic Week – 02th to 10th May 2026.
• Exam Season and Summer Period – June 15th to July 31th 2026.

• End of School Year Celebration (All activities and facilities close at 20:00 pm) – July 24, 2026.

• Summer Period (applicable at CDUP facilities) – 01st to 07th and 26th to 29th August 2026

• Sessions that did not start on the 3rd working day of September – 1st phase schedules – are those that are predefined to close during the conditioned periods, unless there is demand that justifies their operation.

Frequently Asked Questions About UPFit.

If I enroll in the UPFit Program and attend the weight room, do I get a free personalized training plan?

Yes, the preparation of the training plan combined with your needs and objectives is prepared free of charge by the instructor present in the room as soon as he considers that the student/user is predisposed to do so.

What can I do in the weight room?

In the bodybuilding room, various types of work are carried out, using various methodologies, in which the entire population in general, regardless of gender, can train to achieve their goals.

Can I try a class before enrolling?

Yes, we offer a trial class. You should go to our counter before class and bring your citizen card or student card with you so that we can register.

Can I take more than one group class per day?

Yes, we advise you to collect the respective passwords in advance at the facility's kiosk (1h30 before class time).

What is the loyalty period?

At CDUP there is no mandatory loyalty period. As long as registration and monthly fees are up to date, you can attend all group classes at our centers.

Can I only attend group classes at the University Stadium if I have paid my UPFit monthly fee there?

No. The monthly fee is valid for enjoying group classes (swimming pool, weight training, dance and rhythms, fitness and body and mind) in all sports facilities, namely at CDUP – FADEUP, CDUP-ICBAS/FFUP, University Stadium and Luís Falcão Pavilion.

Do I have technical support in the weight room?

Yes, during the entire period of operation of the gym there are one or two instructors in the room who monitor all the activities carried out and who, whenever necessary, help, correct and guide the exercises performed.

In Yoga classes should I take a mattress to practice?

The CDUP provides all the necessary material for the practice.

What are the activities included in the UPFIT Total package?

The UPFIT Total monthly fee includes daily access to the weight room, aquatic activities (free swimming or with an instructor, water aerobics) and group classes (rhythms, strength, body & mind).

Where can I enroll or pay a monthly fee for CDUP-UP activities?

Registration can be done at any CDUP-UP facility, where you must present your citizen card and your UP card if you are a student, teacher or employee. CDUP-UP facilities: CDUP-ICBAS/FFUP, Luís Falcão Pavilion, CDUP-FADEUP and University Stadium.

Do I have access to the car park?

CDUP-UP has a car park at the University Stadium.
It also provides access to the Faculty of Sports car park. To find out more, please go to our counter at FADEUP.

Who can register for CDUP-UP activities?

CDUP-UP's main vocation is to promote and streamline university sports for the entire UP community, however, its audience also extends to the external community.

Who is part of the UP Community?

All students, former students (alumni), teaching and non-teaching staff of the University of Porto are included in the UP Community.
