As University of Porto's men's and women's 3×3 basketball teamsthey traveled to Funchal, on the island of Madeira, to compete in the National University Championship (CNU) of the sport, and returned home with two trophies – silver and bronze – in their luggage.

Under the guidance of coach Melissa Pereira, both U.Porto teams reached the semi-finals, demonstrating great competitiveness throughout the tournament.

In the female sector, the formation consists of Filipa Guimarães (FADEUP), Mariana Gonçalves (FMUP), Isabel Berenguer (ICBAS) and Matilde Lages (ICBAS) secured a place in the final, after a victory against NOVA University of Lisbon.

In the game to award the national university title, the team from the Student Association of the Faculty of Human Kinetics (AEFMH) came out on top, leaving U.Porto with an honorable second place.

The men's team, formed by Tiago Pires (FCUP), Ricardo Teixeira (FADEUP), Diogo Ferreira (FMUP) and Ricardo Luis (ICBAS), guaranteed the bronze medal by beating NOVA Lisbon in the match to award 3rd and 4th place.

The title of university champion was won by the Academic Association of the University of Minho (AAUMinho).

The CNU 3×3 Basketball brought together 96 student athletes representing 11 Higher Education Institutions, in a competition marked by a competitive spirit.
