U.Porto shines in Canoeing, Triathlon and Kickboxing CNU
The days 3 and 4 for June were challenging and quite fulfilling, in competitive terms, for the University of Porto. Canoeing, Triathlon and Kickboxing Low Kick were the National University Championships, which had the participation of student-athletes representing the U.Porto.
Saturday started with the tests of Canoeing, in Montemor-o-Velho. The U.Porto entourage, made up of eight student-athletes in total, won six medals.
Featured for Julio Lopes (FEUP), which became University National Champion, in the category of C1 500 meters. The student-athlete also reached the second place em C1 200 meters.

No female sector, the duo formed by Beatriz Bessa (ICBAS) e Joana Ramos (FMDUP) won the title of university national runners-upOn K2 500 meters. Individually, both student-athletes also reached the podium in the K1 500 meters: Beatriz Bessa raised the silver medal e Joana Ramos brought the bronze.
In the category of Mixed K2, Beatriz Bessa and Fábio Azevedo (FCUP), went up to third place on the podium. On collective, the University of Porto was ranked in second place.
Still on the same day, the U.Porto headed to Foz do Arelho, to participate in the Triathlon CNU. Julia Pereda, student-athlete ICBAS, stayed in 5st place.

The weekend ended with a golden key for the University of Porto, with the results achieved by the delegation of Kickboxing (Low Kick), in Guimarães, on Sunday, June 4th.
the student-athletes Tiago Gonçalves (FEUP) e Joao Sousa (FEUP) were consecrated collegiate national champions, in the categories of -86 kg e -63,5kg, respectively.
In turn, in the female sector, in the category of -55kg, Rita Novais (FEUP) conquered the 2st place. also in collective, the University of Porto reached the 2st place.
The University of Porto will be present at the MTB XCO and Swimming (Short Pool) CNU, on the 18th of June.
